Well, the economy in terms of the GDP growth has been improving for the past 
few months except for the slight decrease in the UK this year, and George 
Osbourne says its due to the Christmas snow. However the GDP growth rate isn't 
reflecting proportionally on the employement rate, be it North America or 
Europe (with the exception of Germany, not surprising). At least in the US one 
doesn't feel the burden of the economic collapse if he/she has a job, but in 
Europe, with government austerity measures in place this year (like the VAT 
rise, tuition fee rise), one will feel the ache for years to come even if 
he/she has a job...

It would appear that way Glenn!  Since I took a long term contract in November, 
I've had at least 8 calls.  Most likely a product of companies sitting on their 
money until the backlog was too great to ignore!
