All, First, as the Product Manager for IBM B2B Translation and Transformation solutions, I want to clarify our position regarding these products. We currently have no plans to sunset, or 'kill', Gentran, Sterling B2B Integrator or WTX. Gentran meets an important market need and has a significant customer base. Sterling B2B Integrator is IBM's strategic B2B gateway, and its mapper is well suited for simple to complex B2B translation. WTX is IBM's strategic universal transformation solution, providing complex document transformation capabilities for a wide range of IBM integration technologies and other applications. While there is some functional overlap between these products, each also addresses unique customer needs. So, we currently have no plans to sunset the Sterling B2B Integrator or WTX mappers. Organizations that have both products can take advantage of existing integration between Sterling B2B Integrator and WTX -- see the IBM DeveloperWorks site for more information. While it would be inappropriate for me to provide detailed plans in this forum, our intent is to provide even greater value for customers who want to use Sterling B2B Integrator and WTX together. To clear up any doubt, our goal is to give you choices, not to force a migration. Second, I'd like to respond to the various specific posts: Tracy - No problem, we have no plans to make the AI mapper go away! Todd - Yes, WTX was previously available from Mercator, as John and Brian have said. Glad you like it! Adam - Not sure what information you're waiting for from our support group, but if you give me details I can investigate. Dan - I hope this information helps. If you have further questions, please contact me directly, and I will be happy to help with the 'huge decision' you mentioned in your post. Regards, Mark Conner, Senior Product Manager Sterling Commerce, an IBM Company. --- In [email protected], "Schomaker, Adam" <adam.schomaker@...> wrote: > > Think the link will show up soon to download from Support? > > Adam > > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Todd LaBonte > Sent: Monday, April 25, 2011 11:38 AM > To: [email protected] > Cc: 'Ronald McCreery' > Subject: RE: [edi_gns] IBM To Kill Application Integrator Mapper In Sterling Integrator?!! > > > That is great.
