Hi Jim,
w.r.t to the below, I assume your 'mandatory segment' in the loop is the
REF/RFF itself, and the added REF/RFF is therefore creating a new loop
instance, whilst the RFF/REF will have a different qualifier than what
is used now.
In that case, most TP's shouldn't need to do anything, but it really
depends on the mapping and validation setup. I set up my maps to ignore
anything that I don't need and is allowed within the UNSM, not
validating against code lists either unless there is a specific need to.
