5/11/11 ALL:
Last summer I made a strategic decision to focus on supply-chain EDI applications, exiting the package solutions market for non-supply-chain healthcare applications such as claims, remittances and eligibility inquiry and response. What this does is make several products available for sale: - The Provider Payment Partner(tm) System, desktop '835' remittance advice processing - 837Export, desktop export of 837I and 837P to delimited files - 837API, programmer's API for 837I and 837P The PPPS, first published in 2001, has now been upgraded and released for use with the X221 (005010-based) implementation of the '835 Healthcare Remittance Advice' document. The two products for use with various forms of the '837' Claim or Encounter Document work terrific.. with the 004010-based HIPAA implmentations and will have to be "ported" to service the new 005010-based market. The EDI Pal(tm) ANSI EDI Viewer-Editor-Printer is NOT available; however, implementation kits for the HIPAA transactions will NOT be developed for the 005010-based transaction sets. (But I'm open to working something out for new kits). If anyone wishes to enter the market for "Healthcare EDI Software", this could be a golden opportunity for a "jump start." Or, if you are already in a related market and were considering software as an additional product, these items could be a very good "fit." The new owner of the PPPS will acquire not only program code and a "January 1 2011 and beyond ready" product, but also customer lists with maintenance revenue potential and some development utilities. The road on the '837'-based products will not be as short, but what I have now is one heck of a start. You can read about the PPPS at http://www.providerpaymentpartner.com (yes, the domain name is included!). If you follow the links, you can even download a little "Tour" application I put together a few years ago. (Warning: The Tour is shameless marketing!) >From that page, if you click on the link marked "TSI's plans for the PPPS and other Healthcare Software " you can read a copy of the letter sent last summer to all current users of both the PPPS and adjunct products which pretty well explains where I am coming from and where I am going. Prospective purchasers, in addition to general software development and support skills, should have both specific experience handling ANSI ASC X12 EDI data and Healthcare industry exposure or experience. Serious inquiries may be sent via email to the address below. Please include a phone number, your location (time zone is what I want) and a "best time to call." Thank you for your attention.
