Automotive has been very heavily EDI - I implemented a mandate by one of the big four that all of the tier one suppliers had to be EDI at a tier one supplier in 2002 and since I believe they have been pushing tier one's to be the managers of all the lower tier suppliers. And if your ASN didn't beat the truck or 15 minutes after the truck left - well, charge per line item! So we were on top of that! And supplier ratings were very important. Retail is much more lax and easier, for the most part, to deal with. They just don't want to give you much lead time from notice to go live! I don't miss automotive at all!
