Hi All,
We need to upgrade our GIS4.0. In order to take backup of all
maps,bp's,envelopes, certificates, mailboxes etc., I tried to export all the
resources to an XML file (I found this option under
Deployement->Resource Manager). The problem is that when I selected the
resources to export and clicked finish, I can see "update in progress, please
wait" message for so long time(around 5hrs) and couldn't able to extract the
XML file. Firstly I guessed that data might be so large that it is consuming
such a long time, and I closed the browser and restarted GIS services (Since
I've got other work to do on the very system).
I reworked on this export process by just exporting maps and this too went
in vain, showing me the same "update in progress, please wait" message for few
hours even though the maps data would be 1/20th of whole the data in GIS. Can
anyone please guide me to troubleshoot this issue and please let me know is
this the correct procedure to backup the GIS data??
Thanks in advance,
Chandra
