Mukesh It depends on what you need. If you just need a few GTIN numbers, then there are ways to do that without the (expensive) gs1.org.
Remember that the GTIN number is essentially a merge of the UPC and EAN numbers, so that the first part of the number is assigned to a manufacturer. If you need to publish the GTINs to a pool, then you will probably have to join gs1.org.
