Well, if I were hiring a new coordinator I would take scars and war stories
over the cert provided the stories conveyed the sort of attitude I am looking
for. For the record that would be: "I know what is the correct and proper way
to do these things but they are the customer so we used our noggins and figured
out how to make it work" after the "that's one for the books" comments.

However, lacking a candidate with scars I would consider one with training
(there's training???) over the same candidate who just thought EDI sounded
interesting.
