Right now I am seeing two types of positions relative to EDI: one is a business analyst who coordinates ERP and EDI activities but does no coding. And the other who does all the setups, production maintenance and communications. Both need to know EDI, but from very different perspectives.

For the record that would be: "I know what is the correct and proper way to do these things but they are the customer so we used our noggins and figured out how to make it work" after the "that's one for the books" comments. However, lacking a candidate with scars I would consider one with training (there's training???) over the same candidate who just thought EDI sounded interesting. When you have over a decade and a half on the job as "EDI Coordinator ( Or Administrator)" does such a certificate carry more weight with potential employers over the experience and anecdotes you've accumulated. > > Dan > > ________________________________ > From: bspears352 <[email protected]> > In case anyone is interested: > > EDI Coordinator Certificate Training May 22-24, 2012 > Register by May 9, 2012 > > http://www.wright.edu/idse/EDI_Course_Description.html > > Location: IDSE Executive Training Center, Wright State University .
