If you want to simply review X12 standards I recommend this website. It is
for version 4010 but applicable to most of the versions thereafter:
http://www.faima.com/edi_4010/

It has full drill-down functionality.

Sincerely,

Darrell,

You can search the archives for lots of suggestions. I think if Edifecs is
out of your budget, others will be as well. There's always Word and Excel.
However, if you're in the business of frequently creating implementation
guides, none of these tools should be cost prohibitive. All of them will
save more time than they cost.

Not sure what you mean by "use to review X12 standards", though. We have
one DISA book (cost a mint) and we also use our translation software, which
has information on syntax, structure, ID codes, etc.

Leah

I currently use Edifecs, but our situation is requiring we purchase
standards software again, and it has become cost prohibitive shall we say.
I'm well aware of EDIsim and DISA offerings as well. Could anyone volunteer
what they use to review X12 standards and create implementation guides?

Thanks,
Darrell
