Samantha Sorry, forgot to mention FIL in my previous post. The generation number should increment for each INVFIL sent to a specific trading partner. It has a function similar to interchange control reference in an EDIFACT message. Some trading partners will check that this is occurring. The version number is normally 1. If you *re-send* a file then it should be incremented, but the file generation number should be the same.
