I desperately need your help! :-)
We have a brand new installation of Sterling Integrator 5.2. I am trying to
set up a connection to GXS. We have old Information Exchange mailboxes and our
communication protocol options are very limited. Our existing connection
utilizes some propriety software from GXS called Expedite Base, and it runs on
our mainframe. This is what we are trying to replace.
The GXS web site states that Information Exchange subscribers can access their
mailbox using a client software component that supports File Transfer Protocol
(FTP) over TLS (SSL). Although Sterling is not on their list of FTP client
software, GXS support said it should work, since Sterling is supposed to
support FTP over SSL.
So, I am trying to set up an FTPS connection in Sterling to our IE mailbox. I
have the certificate that we got from GXS from this mailbox loaded in the SSL
part of the Trading Partner Transport. I have opened the (huge) range of ports
that they require.
The error I am getting is:
(Control connection has been closed unexpectedly.)
GXS Support has been trying to help me for weeks, but they are asking for more
detailed logs than I am able to get out of the SI ftpclient.log.
I have a PMR open with IBM but after a week I am still struggling.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I appreciate in advance whatever
advice you might be able to lend.
