There are many different flavors of the HL7 standard in use today, including
the v2.x flavors that are a similar syntax to X12 - i.e., tagged delimited,
positional data. The v3.x is XML based and it's this version using the
CDA-R2 in based on the HL7 RIM and standardized document templates that are
being mandated under the ARRA HITECH federal law for meaningful use of EHRs.

So, when you say you are looking for HL7 you'll need to be more precise in
both understanding what you want and then asking for it.
