Earl, you forgot to ask what standard Alejandro was using! Alejandro, what Earl says is true for the X12 EDI standard. If you're doing EDIFACT it's different. If you don't know the difference between X12 and EDIFACT, you need more help than what you can get from just asking people on this list.
