All, I'm running into a lockup on the Intel DQ77MK motherboard, and was wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior.
I am attempting to get a compressed Option ROM to load on this platform, however the platform seems to ignore the ROM when starting up. If I take the driver itself, uncompressed, and load it via the UEFI shell it works fine. If I take the compressed image (as found on the device) and attempt to load it via loadpcirom, the system hangs. Ctrl+Alt+Del will reboot the system. This behavior does not occur on other UEFI platforms. Some background: * Currently I am building with UDK2010.UP4, I have not had a chance to transition to UDK2010.SR1.IHV. * My driver is 16KB, and is compressed via EfiRom. * The driver works in the following systems, both as an Option ROM and manual load (via load and loadpcirom.) > MSI Z68 (UEFI 2.0) > MSI Z77 (UEFI 2.31) > Gigabyte X79 (UEFI 2.1) > Dell R720 (UEFI 2.31) * Build is done via VS2005. * The lockup occurs with both Shell 1.1 and Shell 2.0 * The BIOS revision installed is MKQ7710H.86A.0050.2012.0830.1022 > I had 0049 installed until today, same behavior there as well. My primary use for this system will be sometime next month when the UEFI reference BIOS is released for it, which as I understand may be based upon this. If anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.
