I guess we should have changed the subject on this thread a while back. :)

I hope some people might look back over the
"[PATCH] Fix broken IA32 Microsoft assembler code in QemuFwCfgLib."
thread if they are interested in this discussion.

That is good to hear.

My guess is that most Intel contributors are not familiar with git, so
they probably prefer to stick with what they know versus making a
change. But, perhaps this thread can get more Intel contributors
interested in at least trying git-svn.

This may be less true now that the projects are hosted on a free
hosting service.

But, I think Intel still has the most contributions to the tianocore
projects, so that definitely does carry weight.

I still think the community expressing their preference will be the
biggest help in getting a change made.

So far, here is the data I have:
* David/Jordan from Intel would prefer git
* Laszlo from Red Hat would prefer git
* Andrew from Apple is fine with either, but likes to use git-svn
* Several of our Google Summer of Code projects have used git

The data we will never have is how many people avoid getting involved
in the project because it uses svn rather than git. I think if it were
possible to measure this, it would favor git compared to svn.
