ARM and Linaro (Ryan, correct me if I am wrong) already use GIT as their primary interface for Tianocore. And EDK2 project moving to GIT will make our life easier. Linaro maintains their own git-svn service: http://git.linaro.org/gitweb?p=mirror/edk2/edk2.git;a=summary I am using the Sourceforge mirror (http://tianocore.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=tianocore/edk2;a=summ ary) as the reference for our internal branches.

This may be less true now that the projects are hosted on a free hosting service. But, I think Intel still has the most contributions to the tianocore projects, so that definitely does carry weight. I still think the community expressing their preference will be the biggest help in getting a change made. So far, here is the data I have: * David/Jordan from Intel would prefer git * Laszlo from Red Hat would prefer git * Andrew from Apple is fine with either, but likes to use git-svn * Several of our Google Summer of Code projects have used git The data we will never have is how many people avoid getting involved in the project because it uses svn rather than git.
