In our test environment, I have written our boot manager and all of the related
EFI applications that run in the EFI Shell and control the operation of our
test systems. A few of the first applications were written using the older
EFI_Toolkit_2.0 which is compatible with the UEFI Specification 2.0. My more
recent applications use the UDK2010.SR1.UP1 which is compatible with the UEFI
Specification 2.3.1. Our systems are still running the 1.0 shell.

The question is this: Will there come a time when a BIOS is released where the
applications written with the EFI_Toolkit_2.0 will no longer run and must be
ported to the UDK?

Thanks,
