After reading a bit more on this. Now I am wondering if GPT itself will allow
UBIFS in one of GPT partition. It seems that UBIFS requires UBI, which
May not be compatible with GPT.

As you know, FAT/FAT16/FAT32 was not designed for use with Nand/Nor flash
device. So it's natural limitation for such use case.
EDKII doesn't implement this FTL layer as bad block management and
wear-leveling feature could be done at different levels, such as at hardware
controller or at device driver or even file system. It will cause the solution
is not generic and must be h/w specific. So you have to do it by yourself
according to your h/w feature.
As for JFFS2/UBIFS, I don't hear that. But maybe others have different input.

Hi,
Other than Fat32, is there any other open source File system package (like
UBIFS, JFFS2) could be used for UEFI ESP (EFI system partition) on
Flash device (Nor, Nand) when using AArch64 (A57/A53). It appears that Juno
(when booting from Nor) is using something called BootMonFs (From Arm?),
But I was not able to find much information/description online (how to create
it, who owns the license, features etc), and not sure if I can
Create/use it on my NOR flash.
For Fat32, My main concern is that we have to implement (Flash Translation
layer) for bad block management, wear leveling etc if ESP is on raw NOR/Nand
flash.
Which seems to be lots of extra work.
