A new edition will come out soon (I hope). This book will not teach you how to
"use" the multinormal -- classical multivariate analysis books teach you how to
do that. Modern multivariate analysis books teach you how not to use the
multivariate normal. A nice compromise is Flury's A First Course in
Multivariate
Statistics, Srpinger, 1997. Or the classic Mardia, Kent, and Bibby (Academic
Press, currently also being modernized).
