Is there a tool in STATISTICA that will plot a bar graph of x-y data,
where each bar in the graph represents the mean of y for a range of x
(or x bin), the range for each x bin being computed automatically from
the total range of x data.

The problem is similar to histogram plotting, as far as how STATISTICA
divides the range into bins. It is different in that each bar of a
histogram represents the number of observations (y values), where as we
want the average value of those observations.

If someone were given a frequency table with cumulative counts, along
with the histogram (provided they both divide the range into the same
number of bins, with the same starting point), they could calculate the
average for each bin and then graph that. This method was just thought
of at this writing, so pardon me if this was a waste of time (if this
is indeed the solution).
