A useful source for statistical distribution functions and their inverses
is:
http://odin.mdacc.tmc.edu/anonftp/page_2.html

Look for DCDFLIB & DSTATTAB.

The code was written in old Fortran, but there are also translations
into C.

Alternative sources include statlib and my ozemail web site,
but almost all of this code is in Fortran.
