No methods course can prepare for an UNDERSTANDING of
statistics. One needs to start with a conceptual major
unit of probability, so that the background is there to
discuss the problems of statistics. Then one needs to
understand the statistical concepts, which have nothing
to do with data handling; that is only a device to get
an approximation of the compromise result, which are all
that possibly can be done.
