Hi, I desperately need to put a software program or spreadsheet (if possible)
to give me probabilities of certain winning hands occurring. This would've
been a piece of cake if dealing with probability of getting a pair that is Jack
or better from 5 cards handed to you and universe of 52 cards. What I need to
calculate is based on entering certain variables in a spreadsheet or software
(which I can program) that has the formulas to give me answers based on number
of decks, how many cards per deal (e.g. 5 cards), how many sets of hands, etc.
For example, single deck, one player, I'm handed 2 sets of cards, 6 cards each
(from the same deck), what are the chances of getting 2-pair of Jack or better
on the first hand, on the 2nd hand? Of course calculating the 2nd hand is more
complex. Now add to it the probability of getting a pair of Jack or better if
the 2 sets of hands are combined (10-card stud).
I'm not expert in stat at all, but if you can solve these kinds of problems, I
would greatly appreciate to hear from you or pointing me to the right person.
