For an affirmative answer..

all that should happen on single serum draws is the the distribution
will be flatter and wider than actual.  But, the mean of the
distribution is very accurate given a large sample.
This is kind of obvious:  less people will hit the mean, and more will
be abnormally high or low in the serum value.

I'm sure the same applies to behavioral sciences..
