In schools statistics is a subset of mathematics (not my opinion)

For those schools we are making a free multilingual thesaurus/dictionary
of mathematics published at http://thesaurus.maths.org to be distributed
under an open source licence. At the moment it is in preliminary version
and we wish to correct and improve the entries.

If members of the newsgroup would be interested in contributing
suggestions for improvements to the statistics vocabulary and
definitions
that would help make the content more useful to school age children we
would be very interested.

The thesaurus allows different definitions for
different ages so if you contribute a definition please indicate roughly
the age range for which you think it is appropriate. There is a
suggestions box at:

http://thesaurus.maths.org/dictionary/about/suggest.html
