Dear Mail group subscriber, We are writing to ask for your help. We are researchers at the Psychology Department of the University of Waterloo interested in looking at what people know about certain objects, such as a tree, a whale, a bell, or a ring. Specifically, we are interested in the structure of object knowledge, and in how this knowledge influences how objects are stored in memory. We have a simple web questionnaire to complete that can be accessed on the address below.
Your newsgroup was picked because it is likely to be subscribed to by people from a very diverse set of backgrounds, are over 18 and have a working knowledge of the English language. We are interested in understanding what people know in general, and we want to encourage people from many different groups to give their opinion. Participation in the study enters you in a draw for a cash prize. Once you complete the study, you will be entered in a draw for a chance to win $200.00 U.S. We ask that only individuals 18 years of age or older, and with a working knowledge of the English language participate. To help out and tell us what you know about certain objects, click on the link provided below. http://www.arts.uwaterloo.ca/~mjdixlab/traits/ Mike J.
