        On the other hand, a person (especially male - the vast majority of
surname changes are those of women who do so upon marriage) with the
surname "Fairman" is probably anglophone, and it is unusual (though not
unknown) for somebody to reach a high level of literacy in a second
language without reaching it in their first.
