Dennis, I agree with you here.

New textbooks are the only way to get the new ideas popping up the
technical/professional periodicals out to the new students. There has to be
a constant stream of new books in order to support the information explosion
that provides the $$$ for the inflated salary of  the "President that inter
viewed you".
