Hi.
I have a sample of M tumors from a set of N patients.
For each tumor I measured a continuos variable pre and post treatment.

If M=N (and assuming conditions for t-test applicability being satisfied)
then a paired t-test is one of the right tests for evaluating treatment
efficacy (and Wilcoxon sign rank test, too).

If M > N then the non independence between tumors must be taken into
account.
In fact, some patients have more than one tumor.
Therefore I need some kind of corrected paired test which considers the
effect of this non independence in the observations.

Unfortunately I am not aware if this test exists.

Please, could you give me an idea on how to solve this problem ?

Thanks in advance,
Marco
