Or migrating from Edubuntu that is based on a single class-room solution, to Debian-Edu/Skolelinux that is "whole the school" or a regional solution :-) It could also be made an description on how to connect a thin client edubuntu-server to a Skolelinux-network. At least one municipality in Norway uses a lot of K12LTSP-servers connected to a Skolelinux-network. This is done by a couple of easy adjustments that takes 2 hours on the first server, and then it's almost copy and paste. Today schools that install Skolelinux usually uses the Sarge based Skolelinux version, and goes from there. http://developer.skolelinux.no/dokumentasjon/debian-edu_sarge_installation.txt People also have connected ubuntu as workstation to Skolelinux-network. http://developer.skolelinux.no/~ozmund/slxubuntu.html - Knut -- edubuntu-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/edubuntu-devel
