Hi Mauricio, > Would those laptops (PCMCIA) have a floppy bootable unit to load > modules from?
In my case, I have an attachable external floppy drive. > Do those laptops have Gnu/Linux on them? Yes, Ubuntu 5.10 (my old Laptop is a Thinkpad 600). Greetings from Switzerland, Philipp P.S.: Unfortunately, Ubuntu is running *dead slow* on the Thinkpad 600, even though I have 294 MB of RAM (= the maximum for TP 600) !? I don't know what is wrong. I suspect the harddisk (5.1 GB, 4200 rpm) might be slowing things down? But it's really going at "crawl" speed. :-( So I was hoping I could at least use it as thin client... -- :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::.
