That depends on what you are trying to do. If you need to get an LTSP environment up and running quickly, then put Lucid aside and go with what you know works: 8.04. On the other hand if you want to get LTSP working with Lucid, then there are several more questions to ask. To start with: 1) what do you wish to run Lucid: clients, server, or both? 2) if clients, have you verified that they can run Lucid, e.g. a LiveCD? 3) if the server, do you have an environment with which to test the server? That is, do you have another machine with which you can test that dhcpd is working, that tftp is working, etc.?
