Hi Robert, Thanks for your suggestion, did not mean to neglect your reply, but I am receiving a digest hence a direct reply can be a little tricky ;-)
1. Both client and server need to be running Lucid [didn't know it was possible to do anything else ...] Especially important as 8.04 will not be supported for too much longer :) Server is now of course running Lucid. 2. The Optiplex GX110 clients are a little old for the LiveDVD that I have [they only have a CD player ...]. 3. I am confident that DHCP and TFTP are working as expected, but not confident that the clients can cope with 10.04 booting or with handling the correct video mode etc. I should add that I have TWO GX 110 clients. One simply blank screens; the other displays a pink [yes, pink] splash screen forever without progressing to the login screen. I think the second one has a slightly later BIOS than the first ...
