I appreciate your time looking at this. Thank you. I don't really understand how these things work... So I understand how I might get to a position where it doesn't happen, is it more likely that (i) more recent versions of ltsp would fix it, or (ii) another distro - perhaps ubuntu 12.10 or debian testing? Or is a bug fix in 12.04 an option at some point and we should hang in there? Why would such a bug only happen on some hardware rather than universally? Much obliged. If anyone thinks of a workaround, it'd be much appreciated and would fix a whole lab of computers at our school (the other computers switch off happily).
