I would add 2 points when talking to educators: 1) "You can improve it!" Wikipedia welcomes EVERYONE to improve its contents. There are policies, guidelines, and even training available, making it a tool for all of humanity to constantly improve its contents.
2) For educators, making sure their students learn to read correctly the Wikipedia (understanding quality issues, history of articles, and so on), is maybe 1/3 of the educational value of the Wikipedia. the next 2/3 are about learning how to write in it.
