I actually reinstalled on that SD from another machine... and when I boot that machine in the Eee900... I get the grub prompt... So that SD works fine, methink... it's SNV97 that seems to have an issue with my 900...
Note that the 900 has a different SD reader... and that I have the latest BIOS on the 900 which addresses SD car issues... Gilles.
