Endian is an impressive firewall but I have to agree with you both. Having to do a complete upgrade every time on Endian is NOT what one should have to do with a GPL'd piece of software. I do understand the need and right of the Endian Corp. to make money and even thrive but I think the "community edition" should allow easy update and upgrade as it is GPL Free Software BASED on the work of other GPL'd software. Imagine if other Distros started doing the same? Not allowing easy updated is bad karma. Just my 2c. I guess if I don't like it I can go use IPCOP, Monowall or Pfsense and not gripe about it.
