I have the Endian 2 release running on a 500 mhz PIII, 256 megs of ram, and a 18 gig scsi-2 hd running on a Flashpoint scsi controller.
The install went fairly well (once I installed a scsi cdrom in them machine, it refused to boot off of the ide cdrom that was in it). Problem that I am running into is once I start to define rules to allow traffic out from my internal network to the internet, I loose the gui web i/f to configure the system. Sometimes I can get in to look at it/make changes, but most of the time I can not. The proxy is also not reliable at all, most of the time the browser (IE, Firefox and Opera) comes back and tells me the proxy is refusing connections (no passwords or restrictions set on proxy use). Any suggestions? I have tried this setup on 2 different machines and I am running into the same problem. Also tried it using ipcop (1.41?) with BOT (block out traffic), and it also does the same thing, at least in regards to the web gui i/f once I start defining outgoing rules.
