Hi,

I've setup efw-2.0 with outgoing firewall enabled, proxy transparent and
enabled on green.
I can browse the web without problems, transparent proxy works.
But if I go to a webpage which redirects me to a https://... url (port
443) the connection will time out, and I can see in the log that the
firewall blocked access to the remote ip on port 443. That's right.
I saw the iptables rules in efw, and the redirect is done only for
destination port 80. That explains the behaviour.

But... what is the nice solution?
Of course if I set the proxy manually in my browser, then the browser
knows how to deal with the situation and connects squid, and the https
sites work as well. But I'd prefer an automatic solution since users
always forget something :)

Thanks in advance,
Akos
