unless your router is UPnP enabled, Azureus does need ports forwarded if 
you want to actually get decent speed from it. It won't upload properly 
if it doesn't have a port forwarded, thus the download will never be 
high enough. It's worked fine for me, just make sure you're port 
forwarding the right port, and the right protocol. Not External Access.
