For those not following bug: http://bugs.endian.it/view.php?id=258
Endian uses dnsmasq for dns resolving and ISC dhcpd for dhcp serving. The problem is that the version of dnsmasq included in efw does not include ISC dhcpd server support (a compile option at best, a backport at worst). As such, there is no way to have local network host name resolution on efw. Since dnsmasq support of ISC is generally considered historical nowadays (now that dnsmasq also has its own internal dhcp server), I have put together a python script that will watch for changes to the dhcpd.leases file and create a special hosts file from it. This means that you can fake it with dnsmasq using the addnhosts option allowing for full dns resolution. The download is attached to the bug report and includes a readme file on how I set it up, ymmv.
