Hi to all: I'm in trouble, any tip, suggestion... is very wellcome
*Actual situation smtp proxy disabled and NAT rule for incoming mail from outside to an internal mail server on orange. *Desired situation smtp proxy enabled for incoming mail from outside. Outgoing mail from mail server on orange with applied NAT to match the public ip ( not the public IP of EFW ) *Some tests T1: enable smtp proxy uncheck transparent in zone check the Incoming Mail Enable disable the NAT rule telnet my_mail_server_public_address 25 from outside get connected to the EFW. OK telnet from my_internal_mail_server_ip to any public_mailserver get connected with my_mail_server_public_address. OK Mails from outside to my_mail_server_public_address seems to remain in EFW Mail Queue not being delivered to my_internal_mail_server, even I've defined the Domain<->Internal Mail server relationship T2: enable smtp proxy check transparent in zone check the Incoming Mail Enable disable the NAT rule telnet my_mail_server_public_address 25 from outside get connected to the EFW. OK telnet from my_internal_mail_server_ip to any public_mailserver get connected with EFW public address. BAD - EFW public address is not regitered in mx records, a lot of mailservers rejects the connection - Mails from outside to my_mail_server_public_address get delivered to my internal mailserver OK I'm not able to modify dns records, use EFW as outgoing relayer is impossible by now. What is doing EFW internally when T1 that seems that forgets the relation between public_mailserver_ip:25 -> internal_mailserver_ip:25 ? I really need T1, we're receiving a lot of spam and internal mail server is beginning to trashing ( high cpu and highest cpu_wait ). I've applied a delay of 30 seconds in my smtp process to 'discourage' some spambots, but this delay affects end clients trying to send mail, too :/ I'm not a man who asks always for any trouble/doubt ( search dballester in google to see that major contributions are answers, not questions ) but I really need EFW to do what I need :) Thanks in any way and regards D. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
