Not with the 2.x versions from my experience. You have no choice during the install other than to set the LAN address. From that point, I've had to statically assign my configuration machine to the same address space (you're right, DHCP does need turned on after install) and try each of the NICs to determine the one that was the LAN. You can hit the web interface via https://(LAN-IP):10443, or just hit it with http://(LAN-IP) and good ol' port 80 will redirect you. Mike K.

Doesn't it allow you to use either interface the first time? (before you set which nic is red) You just need to manually set your PC to an IP address in the right range, and open efw with your browser using its address with the :10000 port number added. I don't think DHCP runs at install. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Knisely [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, October 01, 2008 1:54 PM To: efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Efw-user] how do you set up? Unfortunately, there is no way to tell which Endian chose to bridge to that interface until you're in the web configuration. I'd definitely suggest trying the other NIC just to test. Once you are in the portal, you'll be able to choose which interface will be the LAN. I'll read it. I never saw it before. I set it up and it loaded but I could not connect to it from the lan. It is possible the wan and lan cables were on the wrong nic. Someone said green is br0 whatever that means. So is that the onboard nic or the pci nic? I have the wan connected to onboard nic and lan to the pci nic i have. I didn't try swapping the cords. Is endian running dhcp yet or what? Cus I never got to log in to set anything up. So I wonder if it's running a dhcp or anything. However I get some block error when trying to start now so I have to re do everything it seems. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Efw-user mailing list Efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Efw-user mailing list Efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user
