hahaha .... Thanks for that, mike. Though I agree with most of the
suggestions posted so far, the fact is that I am now stuck with this server.
Unfortunately, the company have put their trust on me to get this to work.

If there is no other way for me to get Endian 2.2 RC3 to work on this
server, I might suggest swapping the server with the MySQL server, which is
running on a Dell PowerEdge 850 (same machine as the current working Endian
Firewall 2.1).

So far, the replies I received are alternatives rather than a fix.

1) Disable hardware RAID and use software RAID if that work
2) Use VMWare/Xenware

Looking at the dump, I think Mike is correct to say that the mptsas module
is the cause but then I am no expert. Anyway, unless someone has any valid
solution to actually fix this, I will follow the majority of the ppl and
agree that its simply not possible to install Endian 2.2 RC3 on this server.
