Hi SITCO.
I have not that setting in /var/efw/smtpscan/settings, but I
put it manually, disabled and enabled the SMTP proxy from the GUI and
now all is ok!!!
Thank you very much for the help.
Best regards.

Hi...
this behavior is a bug in the GUI, you have
to connect via SSH and set the message size limit manual in /var/efw/smtpscan/settings search for MESSAGE_SIZE_LIMIT= and set the value to =0 .
hope I could
help you

The email clients have not message size limit.
I get that error message from all PCs in the lan, regardless of the
operating system (Windows XP/2k or Linux) and the email destination
address (hotmail/live/gmail).
I know the problem is a 10MB limit, but it seems to be on my efw v2.3.
With the previous efw v2.2 and exactly the same configuration there
isn't this problem.
How can I do?
Regards.

Wish I had a guess. The error message clearly indicates a 10MB limit
somewhere.
Have you considered limits at the email client (TBird), the sending SMTP
server, and the receiving SMTP server?
I'm running an older version, so can't compare my install. Sorry.

Already done.
I chosen 40MB, saved and rebooted but I get the same error.
Any other idea?
Regards.

Subject: [Efw-user] SMTP Proxy - Cache problem
Hi.
With EFW 2.3 when I try to send an email (via SMTP proxy) with some
MBs
of files attached I get the following alert in Thunderbird:
"The size of the message you are trying to send exceeds the global
size
limit (10240000 bytes) of the server. The message was not sent, try to
reduce the message size and try again."
and this happens from all PCs in the lan.
In the HTTP proxy configuration I set:
- Cache size on harddisk (MB): 1000
- Cache size within memory (MB): 40
- Maximum object size (MB): 1000
- Minimum object size (MB): 0
In the SMTP proxy configuration I set:
- Green: transparent mode
I found this settings with no errors in
/etc/squid/squid.conf
/var/efw/proxy/settings
Any ideas? Could you please help me?
Thank you in advance for the support.
Best regards.
