Hi all,

We have a client with a wan connection with a dynamic ip. We would like to
setup endian to update their dns server on ip address change and not use
any 3rd party update services.

Endian is Community release 2.5.1. Although nsupdate is installed on
endian there is no dnssec-keygen or dns-keygen to create the necessary
keys. I have tried generating them on another machine and copying over but
keep getting

could not read key from K.....private: private key is invalid

I have tried generating the key with -C, compatibility mode but this
results in the same error.

dnssec-keygen -a HMAC-MD5 -b 512 -n HOST newkey1

Anyone got any ideas how to generate the correct format that nsupdate on
endian expects?

regards

Mark
