New to the group as I am researching building out my first EFW home box. Wanted to get thoughts around support for amd ryzen 2700 (over kill I know, but want to use this as a workhorse KVM machine hosting NAS, EFW, and docker). Was looking at this based on price and amount core/threads as well as it having good TDP benchmarks. I see EFW is running on 4.4 kernel in 3.3, does it solely depend on if the kernel supports Ryzen 2700 for this build out? Are there any other considerations I should be thinking about before purchasing hardware? Thanks ahead.
