We must be sure to use FSFS as database filesystem because BDB > gives problems with file permissions The one who's going to install SVN must > pay attention to this. FSFS is newer but just as stable as DBD.
I was thinking about FSFS too, not DBD. After some changes (deleteing the .svn files someone commited into our cvs repository and forcing some tags used as well as branches to be branches) I was able to convert our cvs into a svn repository on a server here. I took about 1 hour as we have ~19k files, ~90k revisions, ~70 branches, ~70 tags which makes a total of 21k svn commites. >>> If needed Lingewoud can host a dedicated eGroupware server at our >>> datacenter. When can there be a XEN machine? > I'd love to assist. I think if we migrate, we should go to the newer system. The xen machine is up and running since about one month now. egroupware.org is actually running on 2 xen instances: - dev.egroupware.org runs MySQL and a nfs server for the docroot - www.egroupware.org runs apache mounting the docroot via nfs (readonly), on www.egroupware.org we also use a squid as reverse proxy and postfix My plans for migrating are doing it as soon as possible, thought we need a more update cvs then 30. March. There are 2 possebilities: a) waiting til sf.net gets it's anon cvs / cvs tarballs working again b) once the developer cvs is working again, use my old cvs-sync script and import the changes in a local cvs-repository c) forget about the history between 30. March and now and just commit the changes from an up to date checkout Btw. sf.net just announced they have an other hard-disk failure on the developer cvs. Ralf -- eGroupWare Training & Support ==> http://www.egroupware-support.de 1.2 Release Offer: 250Euro for a Standard Update or Installation including 1h Telefonsupport und ein gedrucktes deutsches Handbuch ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
