Only in the right and perfect world. In the real world, it isn't there yet. In
the case of Oracle 8i, you can only place EJB beans in the JNDI. In Oracle
8.1.6, they have stated that you can store anything that implements
Referencable. Right now, we have a bean that upon instantiation, reads from a
properties file (yes, I understand its a no-no) and provides global properties.
It is not the best solution, but it beats having to update the descriptor files
of X number of beans and redeploying those beans.
